How to Install Ubuntu Server on Oracle VirtualBox

Today we will learn about "How to Install Ubuntu Server on Oracle VirtualBox"

  1. First, you must Install Oracle VirtualBox, its easy, you can download in here.
  2. Go to Ubuntu Server and download the ISO file.
  3. Create a New Virtual Machine
    - Open VirtualBox and click New.

    - Enter a name for your virtual machine and specify the directory for the ISO file.

  4. Set Username and Password
    - During the setup, create a username and password for your Ubuntu server.

  5. Adjust Memory (RAM) and Processor
    - Allocate an appropriate amount of RAM and CPU cores based on your system's resources.

  6. Configure Storage
    - Choose VDI (VirtualBox Disk Image) for the hard disk file type.
    - Adjust the size as needed and click Finish.

  7. Attach the ISO File
    - Then turn it off after the initial setup.

    - Go to Settings > Storage.
    - Under Controller: IDE, click the CD/DVD icon.
    - Next to Optical Drive, click the CD/DVD icon and select your downloaded ISO file.
  8. Start the Virtual Machine
    - Start the machine and follow the Ubuntu Server installation steps.
    - Configure settings such as language, time zone, and other options.
  9. Reboot and Remove Disk
    - After the installation completes, reboot the virtual machine.
    - Quickly remove the disk (ISO file) from the virtual drive to prevent restarting the installation process. Alternatively, turn off the machine, remove the disk manually in Settings, and then start it again.
  10. Log in to Ubuntu Server
    - After rebooting, log in with the username and password you created during the setup. Your Ubuntu Server is now ready to use.
